Ekattor TV (Bangladeshi for ‘Channel 71’) is a 24×7 news television channel in Bangladesh. It is widely recognised as the country’s top news channel. Benchmark Broadcast has been brought on board to enhance their content and broadcast with new studios, and a versatile MAM (Media Asset Management) system. The emphasis of the project is to empower field reporters with tools that can allow them to work on craft edits for immersive news stories. The on site technological solutions are aimed at enabling high resolution edits in the newsroom. The Benchmark Broadcast approach on this assignment has been to match editorial vision with strategic solutions that can extricate the most creative uses of available equipment.
