Benchmark Broadcast was appointed along with a local partner by the Sultanate of Oman to upgrade an existing master control facility for national broadcasters Oman TV, one of the region’s largest and oldest broadcasters. Oman TV’s 35-year-old set-up was a mix of analog and SD which was infrastructurally overhauled with monitoring solutions for entire sources and destination from RF, baseband and IT equipment. Based on Benchmark Broadcast’s concept proposal and system outline design the project delivered complete systems integration, which included the provision of detailed designs, cable schedules, rack schematics, layout drawings for each area, power calculation for every piece of equipment, heat dissipation requirements for each area, and all third-party coordination.
