Kalaignar TV, a leader in the Tamil entertainment and information genre with six channels available to a global audience, has chosen Benchmark Broadcast Systems to provide consultancy and systems integration services for their technology upgrade and migration to their new facility. After evaluating a number of Systems Integrator, Mr Ashley Samuel, CTO, chose Benchmark Broadcast Systems based on their track record of successfully delivering major projects for various customers in the region and their clearly demonstrated product agnostic approach in their designs.

Pertinently, Kalaignar TV is a Tamil-language satellite television network based in Chennai, India. The flagship GEC channel Kalaignar TV was launched in September 2007 and was soon followed by launches in other genres. Since then the network has rapidly grown to six channels which dominate the Tamil television viewership in South & South East Asia and other such regions boasting of a considerable Tamil diaspora.

The channel line up now includes:
